"Sterile Armor" for Medical Cables Launched! New Silicone Rubber Seals Boast 99.9% Antibacterial Rate
To address the pain point of bacterial growth on medical equipment cables, Shenzhen Medical Innovation Materials has recently put its medical-grade silicone rubber seals into mass production. This auxiliary material is added with nano-silver antibacterial components, achieving a 99.9% antibacterial rate against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, and has passed the ISO 10993 biocompatibility certification.
"Previously, the cable interfaces of surgical equipment posed infection risks due to poor sealing. Now, the seals can withstand high-temperature sterilization at 134℃ and maintain sealing performance even after 50 reuses," introduced Wang Hao, a R&D engineer. The product has been matched with high-end equipment of Mindray Medical and United Imaging Healthcare, covering more than 300 Grade A tertiary hospitals across the country.
